Ohr Chana High School, celebrating over 20 years of excellence in girls’ high school education, launched this September with a burst of new innovations for the school year. Just a month in, the school has already introduced themes and goals for their G.O., Mishmeret, Chesed, Tech, Tzniut, Events, Chagim, Ruach, and Birthday committees.
During Elul, students focused on preparing their hearts, minds, and neshamot for the uplifting Chagim. Several classes bonded on grade trips, and the Kew Gardens community and Congregation Ner Mordechai hosted them for their annual High School Elul Shabbaton.

Since October 7th, Ohr Chana’s students have davened with heartfelt intentions for the hostages, soldiers, and the Jewish nation. Through Ohr Chana’s meaningful programs, students are instilled with a sense of responsibility toward our brothers and sisters in Israel. What a special nation we are privileged to be part of, and at Ohr Chana, the students feel that unity.
Academically, Ohr Chana offers tracks in both Judaic and General Studies, with Honors track options that enable students to earn college credits during their high school journey. This coming month, Seminary and College guidance counselors are ready to assist seniors in their search for the right college or seminary experience.

We are excited for the phenomenal year ahead. Become part of the Ohr Chana legacy—the Orthodox Sephardic school for every Jewish soul seeking to discover and reach its ultimate potential. Don’t miss our Open House this Sunday, November 3rd. For more information, call 718-426-9369, extension 614.
