The Russian American Cultural Center (RACC) will host two special screenings of FOUR WINTERS, a powerful documentary by Julia Mintz, as part of its Annual DIASPORA Film Festival on Sunday, April 27 at New Plaza Cinema (35 W 67th St, NYC). Showings are at 5:00 PM and 7:10 PM, each followed by a Q&A with the director, Julia Mintz.
FOUR WINTERS tells the untold story of over 25,000 Jewish partisans—teenagers, escapees, and survivors—who fought back against the Nazis and their collaborators from deep within the forests of Eastern Europe, Ukraine, and Belarus. With gripping archival footage and testimony from the last surviving partisans, the film dismantles the myth of Jewish passivity during the Holocaust, revealing a breathtaking chronicle of resistance, survival, and heroism. RACC members may purchase tickets at the discounted “Senior” rate of $13 for either screening, regardless of age.
