JIQ Boys’ Journal #19
At JIQ Boys’ Middle and High School, education is never one-dimensional. It’s not just about mastering subjects or preparing for tests—it’s about building character, making smart choices, and becoming strong both inside and out.
This past month, two exciting initiatives highlighted the school’s commitment to just that: a physically intense back-to-school trip to Ferox Ninja Park, and a spiritually meaningful launch of the TAG Phone Filtration Program.

Flying High: The Ferox Ninja Park Experience
To kick off the school year with energy and connection, the boys were taken on a thrilling trip to Ferox Ninja Park—a facility packed with high-speed fun and fitness challenges. From sprawling trampoline zones to timed parkour courses, climbing walls, and stunt tracks, the students had the chance to push themselves, test their strength, and just have an awesome time.
The air was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the sound of sneakers slamming onto mats as students bounced, flipped, and sprinted their way through the day. More than just a recreational outing, the Ferox trip served as a bonding experience—one that reminded the boys that while school is serious, there’s always room for joy and adventure in a Torah life.

Spiritual Strength: The TAG Phone Filtration Program
On the other side of the spectrum, students were given a powerful opportunity to demonstrate spiritual strength and responsibility through the TAG filtration initiative.
TAG (Technology Awareness Group) helps users install kosher filters on their smartphones and devices, ensuring that technology serves them—not the other way around. At JIQ, where personal growth and holiness are always at the forefront, many boys voluntarily joined the TAG program, committing to install filters on their devices or transition to safer alternatives.
But this wasn’t just about rules—it was about making conscious choices, setting boundaries, and standing up for their values in a world filled with distractions.

To honor their courage and commitment, participating students were given powerful incentives: A discounted price for the upcoming school Shabbaton; and a trip to the Palisades Mall, where they’ll get to enjoy a fun and well-deserved outing with friends.
These rewards are a reflection of the school’s philosophy: when students rise to meet the moment, their efforts are noticed and celebrated.
Between jumping off trampolines and jumping into spiritual growth, it’s already been an inspiring start to the year. The students of JIQ are proving—once again—that they’re not just growing into scholars, but into mentally strong, spiritually driven, and physically active Bnei Torah.
The best part? We’re just getting g started.
